Roland Emmerich made me just put my foot in my mouth; at least, temporarily. After I spent a good deal of time ripping apart the teaser trailer for 2012, calling it Roland Emmerich: Part III, the director and Columbia Pictures has gone forth and released a trailer for a film that could be one of the best disaster flicks I have seen in a long time.
Now, if you think The Day After Tomorrow is a good disaster flick, please punch yourself.
Trailer: 2012
Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. 2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.
We all know that disaster sequences are what make Emmerich hard, so I can only assume that 2012 is the epitome of raging boner... for him. I also love the visuals and am now wishing this film came out in July as planned.
