Eric Dane has been picked up by New Line to join their already-ensemble comedy Valentine's Day.

Directed by Garry Marshall, Valentine's Day includes a collection of names including Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace and Hector Elizondo star.
The film follows five interconnecting stories on Valentine's Day in Los Angeles. Dane will play a quarterback struggling over the decision of whether to retire.
He got cast just in time, as production is expected to begin this week.
