Ryan Reynolds is going big with the comicbook genre. He appeared as Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity, was rumored to play The Flash, ended up as Deadpool, and has now been selected to play the Green Lantern.
Ryan Reynolds is Green Lantern
Warner Bros. has picked up Ryan Reynolds to star in Green Lantern, one of the studios many live-action comicbook adaptations. Martin Campbell is already onboard to direct off a script by Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green.
The studio selected Reynolds after meeting with Bradley Cooper, who recently had us laughing out loud in The Hangover and Jared Leto, who looks to have taken an extended break from singing.
Production on Green Lantern is expected to begin in January.
Reynolds, who has yet to favor any particular genre, will next star in the indie drama Buried.
