Ioan Gruffudd
Sometimes author's make a large enough impact that they deserve their own story, about them. It looks like this rule applies to Kenneth Grahame, the 19th century author who gave us the classic children's book, The Wind in the Willows. So who to play Grahame?
Ioan Gruffudd for Banking on Mr. Toad
Considering that The Wind in the Willows was published back in 1898, I guess one doesn't need to worry about likeness when casting the character. I mean, I've seen the author's picture and I can't say he looks much like Ioan Gruffudd, who has been cast to play the author.
Titled Banking on Mr. Toad, the biopic will charts Grahame's journey from his job as the secretary of the Bank of England during the era of industrialization at the end of the 19th century through to his authoring of Willows. There will also be added emphasis on Grahame's relationship with his autistic son.
