Quick production update coming your way for The Green Hornet. Columbia Pictures and Stephen Chow have been slowly diminishing the role of Kato, and now Chow will not be part of the production whatsoever.

Stephen Chow Exits The Green Hornet

No animosity from either party, as Chow couldn't remain with the production due to increased scheduling conflicts.

"There was a mutual and amicable decision by both sides to move on," said Columbia Pictures in a statement. "We are out now to cast a new Kato and remain fully committed to Michel Gondry's exciting vision for the film, which will begin production this September."

The Green Hornet was expected to open on June 25th, 2010.
