The Strangers
Rogue Pictures has been planning on a sequel to The Strangers since last summer. It only took them 12 months, but the production is finally seeing green.
The Strangers Sequel Greenlit
The Strangers 2 will enter production this fall with Relativity, Vertigo and Mandate producing.
Bryan Bertino, who wrote and directed the first film, wrote the sequel. He will not, however, direct with Laurent Briet stepping in as his replacement. Story is being kept under wraps.
No real surprise there, as the first installment's plot revolved around a couple being terrorized by a single group of masked assailants. The real incredible part is that the film grossed $80 million worldwide, quickly earning back its $9 million budget.
