I knew there had to be some graphic novels that weren't picked up by the Hollywood studios. One such example would be World War Robot. Er, wait. Wait a minute.

Jerry Bruckheimer just got it.

World War Robot Movie Coming

Penned by Ashley Wood and recounted in war-diary form by participants on both sides, World War Robot centers on a small band of humans and robots facing off in a battle on Earth, the moon and Mars. Bruckheimer is producing.

Printed by IDW Publishing, the company is no stranger to adaptations. They've seen 30 Days of Night, Dark Days and other titles become films. They have recently begun pushing their publications to the studios harder in an attempt to generate more revenue for their library. They are the third largest graphic novel publishers behind Marvel and DC.
