It looks like Carla Gugino has developed a special taste for Zack Snyder. After teaming with Snyder for Watchmen, the actress is looking to reunite for Sucker Punch.
Carla Gugino Joins Sucker Punch
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have picked up Carla Gugino to star in Sucker Punch, a drama that will be directed by Zack Snyder and produced by his wife, Debra.
Sucker Punch centers on a girl who's institutionalized by her wicked stepfather and retreats into an alternative reality as a coping strategy. Emily Browning will play the title character, while Gugino has been cast to play a nurse in the insane asylum who becomes a madam at a brothel in the film's alternate reality.
Also cast is Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone and Abbie Cornish. The production begins filming this fall.
