I can't remember the last time I've been this excited for August and September releases. While these two months usually let one come down from summer, this year it seems like they are packed with films. One such film that I can't wait for is Gamer. Starring Gerard Butler, the film delivers insane urban action.

Kabel (Gerard Butler), a death row inmate, has unwittingly become a pop culture hero. Every week, millions worldwide tune in online to watch him and hundreds of other convicts battle in Slayers, an ultra-violent multi-player online game invented by technological genius Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall). To the wealthy young gamer who controls his every move, Kable is just a sim (simulation) character.
To get a sense of the action, Lionsgate has released a new TV spot for Gamer that is jam-packed full of visuals in its one-minute running time. Watch it below (via TrailerAddict):
Gamer is due out in theaters on September 4th.
