Universal Pictures has acquired the comic pitch, The Best Thing About Pam Rooney, by Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien and will develop the film as a starring vehicle for Jonah Hill.

Hill is already onboard to produce with the scribes getting some extra skrilla by becoming executive producers. Cohen and O'Brien were also co-producers of Funny People and a product of Judd Apatow.
Jonah Hill has been keeping busy with the Universal comedy Get Him to the Greek -- in which the comic actor received his first gross participation -- and an untitled comedy directed by Jay and Mark Duplass. He also wrote, produced and starred in The Adventurer's Handbook, which is also set up at Universal.
