The Invention of Lying
When I saw the domestic trailer for The Invention of Lying I felt as if something was missing. With all the potential a plot like this would have, the trailer didn't explore the best reaches of it. In short - I was disappointed. Fortunately there is an international trailer that fills in some of the blanks.
International Trailer: The Invention of Lying
The Invention of Lying is set in a contemporary world where no one has ever lied. Gervais will play a performer who tells the first lie and harnesses its power for personal gain.
Unlike the first trailer, the international trailer for Lying shows us exactly when Mark's brain clicks on as it were. Once he realizes that it's possible to lie, though he can't put a word on what exactly he's doing, the antics take off. Check out the international trailer below (via TrailerAddict):
