Ed Helms
Ed Helms is on a roll! After scoring big with The Hangover, the once Daily Show correspondent has been the go-to man for comedies. Universal Pictures has acquired the spec script for Central Intelligence, which they are hoping will be a starring vehicle for Helms.
Ed Helms for Central Intelligence
Written by Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen, Central Intelligence revolves around an accountant who's thrown into the world of international espionage after reconnecting with an old friend through Facebook.
Facebook and not Myspace? Ooh, that stings! Maybe if this was being distributed by Fox...
Helms will next star in Cedar Rapids, where he plays an insurance salesman who heads cross country to attend a convention in hopes of saving the jobs of his co-workers. If you've been paying attention, then you might have noticed a trend. Helms was a dentist in The Hangover, a salesman in The Office, and an insurance rep in Cedar Rapids. What does it mean? Probably nothing, but Helms does well in the blue-collar roles.
He will become a dentist again in the sequel to The Hangover.
