Just in case you haven't heard, Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way banner is developing a "gothic" take on Little Red Riding Hood, with scribe David Leslie Johnson onboard to write the script. The film has now received a title, The Girl With the Red Riding Hood, and a director, Catherine Hardwicke.

Yes, they dropped the "little" entirely out of the title. I guess when you bring romance into the title, having "little" sounds too pedophile.
Now a werewolf movie, The Girl With the Red Riding Hood will have a teenage love triangle at its center. Hardwicke should have no issue with this, as she did direct the first Twiligh installment.
