The Green Hornet
The drama continues for
The Green Hornet. Now, I don't want to be pessimistic, but I never see a delay of theatrical release as a good sign. Sure, it buys more time to make a better movie, but it seems that they rarely ever turn out that way; especially after all the bumps in the road this production has already hit. But we need to keep our spirits up, so here's when you can expect to see The Green Hornet in theaters.
The Green Hornet Pushed to December 17, 2010
Sony Pictures has announced that they've pushed The Green Hornet out of summer and into winter for 2010. Taking advantage of a holiday frame, they could find similar box office numbers.
Michael Gondry is set to get behind the camera this week, making it impossible to get the fx-heavy film ready in time for the previous release of July 9th. This comes after the release was already pushed back from June 25th. The one perk to come from the move, besides the additional time to work, is the fact that the film won't be put up against any in the same genre for that frame.
The Green Hornet was expected to open on December 17th, 2010.
