The Fantastic Mr. Fox
It's no secret that stop-motion animation is freaking hard. Behind the scenes videos for Coraline proved the matter, and now a behind the scenes clip for The Fantastic Mr. Fox enforces it.
The Fantastic Mr. Fox Goes Behind the Scenes
20th Century Fox has released an extended behind the scenes look at The Fantastic Mr. Fox that, with the narration of Wes Anderson, is impressive to watch. As I mentioned, the main point is showing just how hard it is to work with stop-motion and all the required miniatures and figures. The clip does also show how they handled the sound recording, which was pretty neat. If Clooney's Mr. Fox was in a trailer while talking, they recorded Clooney in a trailer. Maybe not necessary, but could turn out cool on the final product. My favorite part, however, is watching a sped up video of a guy working on a group of miniatures. While he is zooming around, the miniatures are moving at normal speed. Neat!

The Fantastic Mr. Fox opens to theaters on November 13th.
