Jeffrey Dean Morgan has found a bit of momentum coming off Watchmen. Picking up a role here and there, the actor is now in talks to join the cast of Red Dawn.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Talks for Red Dawn
A reboot, cough remake cough, of the 1984 film, Red Dawn follows a group of teenagers who band together to fight back when their home town is invaded by an joint force of Chinese and Russian soldiers. Morgan will play the leader of the U.S. Special Forces team who discovers the teens' stronghold while behind enemy lines.
Morgan is currently hanging out in Puerto Rico filming Joel Silver's The Losers for Warner Bros. He has a couple projects coming our way including The Resident, where he stars opposite Hilary Swank.
Since Red Dawn is already shooting in Michigan, the negotiations are likely to be quick.
