Though John Malkovich has a few projects in production, and a few more prepping to get started, Disney still found time in the actor's schedule for Secretariat.
John Malkovich for Secretariat
Directed by Randall Wallace, Secretariat will have Malkovich play Lucien Laurin, the former jockey who became the trainer of the 1973 Triple Crown-winning racehorse. At the core of the film is the relationship between the horse and his owner, Penny Chenery (played by Diane Lane), a housewife who knew little about horse racing when she took over her ailing father's Virginia horse farm.
While I'd normally think, "who cares," Seabiscuit did
have me in tears; so I guess I have to keep my opinions open.
Malkovich was last seen in Burn After Reading and can next be seen in the adaptation of Jonah Hex.
