Adam Brody plays the lead singer of the indie rock band Low Shoulder in Jennifer's Body. The douchey rockers become celebrities after surviving a fire at their gig. He’s also responsible for turning Jennifer evil.

Adam Brody Talks Jennifer's Body

“We tried for a little Brandan Flowers, maybe a little Morrisey for a second,” Brody said. “Then there’s Maroon 5 and other good stuff. Even though it’s not in the scene, dancing and singing was pretty fun. I could do High School Musical 4. I’d be the principal.”

Since his character makes Jennifer (Megan Fox) a cannibalistic demon, Brody could speak to the following dilemma. If it meant getting killed, wouldn’t you still want a night with Megan Fox?

“Full disclosure, so you get a whole night. Let’s be particular. You get a whole night, then you get killed in the morning. Sure. Sure, especially if you’ve got an illness or something already.”

However, Brody did not get to perform one of those makeout deaths with Fox. “I think it’s true, everyone who was the victim got to make out with her first. I guess then yeah, now that you mention it, I’m really pissed off.”

Coming from The O.C. and movies like In the Land of Women, Jennifer’s Body is a major change of pace. That wasn’t Brody’s intention though.

“It wasn’t actually. I mean, it’s nice that it was sort of a departure but that’s kind of a happy accident. Really I’m just looking for, I want to work with intelligent people and look for scripts that I think are intelligent and surprising. Normally you’re playing someone you should feel empathy for and this, you shouldn’t. Or if you do, I think you took it the wrong way which maybe is flattering. So that was different. Just an absence of any morals, therefore was super freeing. It was super freeing to be able to play a guy who can be as unlikeable as he wants.”
