Liam Neeson has slowly been getting back on the wagon. Picking up a role a little under six weeks ago for a Dark Castle thriller, the actor has also agreed to a thriller for Lionsgate.
Liam Neeson for The Next Three Days
Liam Neeson makes a late addition to the film, which just started filming last Friday. The Next Three Days has Russell Crowe playing a teacher whose wife (Elizabeth Banks) is arrested for a gruesome murder she says she didn’t commit. Several years of incarceration leaves her suicidal and he plots to break her out. Neeson plays an ex-con who has broken out of jail multiple times, has written a book about it, and shows the teacher how it's done. The thriller marks the return of director Paul Haggis to Lionsgate, who hasn't done a project with the studio since Crash.
Brian Dennehy, Lennie James, Olivia Wilde, Aisha Hinds, Daniel Stern and RZA also star.
Neeson has a few projects in the works including Carnahan's A-Team and Clash of the Titans.
