When Adrien Brody agreed to star in Splice I thought it was an unexpected move for the actor. After doing a bunch of dramatic, comedic, and a combination of the two, he switched things up by none other than a creature feature. The feedback on Splice has so far been positive, which might be the deciding factor for Adrien Brody to go forward with Predators.
Adrien Brody for Predators
As it sounds, Predators will serve as the reboot of the Predator franchise for 20th Century Fox. Brody will star with Alice Braga, Danny Trejo, Walt Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, and Louiz Ozawa.
Directed by Nimrod Antal, Predators will have Brody play a heroic mercenary who battles alien hunters. Known for a collection of roles that don't qualify as "action hero" stuff, the franchise would allow for Brody to re-invent himself. He at least is committed, having signed on for multiple installments.
