Wolverine
While talking openly in South Korea, Bryan Singer announced that he is not only open to the idea of returning to the X-Men franchise, but he's also already suggested the notion to 20th Century Fox. Since Fox has been in a bit of a slump when it comes to making (good) comicbook movies, I can't imagine what would prevent them from signing Singer up.
Mutant Gene Once Again Affecting Bryan Singer
I'm thinking that Singer is sick of other directors ruining his legacy. Brett Ratner's X-Men: The Last Stand was easily the worst in the er, trilogy, and Gavin Hood's Wolverine, though a noble effort, was missing something.
"I'm still looking to possibly returning to the X-Men franchise. I've been talking to Fox about it. I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast," said Singer. Singer also admits that he loves how the X-Men franchise allows current issues to be presented in a fantastical manner.
"[I like to] trick audiences into thinking they're seeing fireworks, but they're learning about themselves and listening to what I have to say. The excitement about working in science fiction and fantasy is — the stories, if they are good, are about the human condition."
Whatever his reasons, I would be ecstatic to have Singer back behind the camera for another X-Men.
