Got an itsy bitsy update coming your way for First Avenger: Captain America. Since the film is going to serve as the appropriate link between all the latest Marvel films including Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk and the upcoming Avengers movie, a lot rests on its shoulders. Well, Marvel Comics editor-in-chief recently saw the script for Captain America and, at the very least, seems pleased with it.
Script Talk for First Avenger: Captain America
While taking part in a Q&A posted at ComicBookResources, Joe Quesada had this to say about the Captain America script.
Sticking with Hollywood, Quesada offered a brief update on "The First Avenger: Captain America," with which he's had some involvement. "I've seen a couple of outlines and an initial screenplay, and it's going to rock everyone's socks off," he said. "It's very unexpected, the kind of movie it is." Quesada added that "Captain America" sets up "The Avengers" in "a fantastic way" and also mentioned that there is an undisclosed wish list of actors to play the star-spangled superhero.
While he doesn't say what involvement the previous Marvel properties/films will play on the development of the film's story, he at least reminds us that it is definitely there to setup Captain America and the following Avengers movie. Now I'm curious to see just what actors are on that list.
