I always figured that, after such an array of roles, Charlize Theron would get burned out with franchise films. Not so, as she has somewhat surprised me by agreeing to co-star in Mad Max: Fury Road. Or maybe she just has a thing for film's with the word "road" in the title...
Charlize Theron for Mad Max: Fury Road
Charlize Theron has been cast to star opposite Tom Hardy in Mad Max: Fury Road, which is set to begin filming (wait for it) next August in Australia.
George Miller will direct the fourth Max installment off a script that he not only wrote, but is also protecting with his kung fu grip.
Miller has begun pre-production on the film and, though it seems like the title characters have been cast, has yet to mention whether Mel Gibson will be making a return to the franchise. Well, he certainly has some time to decide.
