Though Cedar Rapids has already begun filming, the production has only recently picked up a significant chunk of its cast. Fox Searchlight has only today cast Sigourney Weaver, John C. Reilly and Alia Shawkat to join Ed Helms and Anne Heche, who are already on set.

Directed by Miguel Arteta off a script by Phil Johnston, Cedar Rapids follows Helms, who plays a sad-sack insurance agent who goes to an industry convention to try and save the jobs of his colleagues. Weaver plays Helms' former seventh-grade teacher. And, speaking of Weaver, you can next see her in James Cameron's highly-anticipated movie, Avatar.
