The original indie sensation still looks raw on Blu Ray. Sex, Lies and Videotape is really grainy and faint. They certainly haven’t glossed it up so it still looks like an old indie film struggling to hold up in the new world format.

Yet, it’s so sharp you still feel like you’re watching HD. It’s like super sharp film. There’s no denying it’s all filled with fuzz, but the picture is sharper than anything you’d see in a theater.
You still see some details. Laura San Giacomo’s designer jacket and layered ‘80s hair show details. Shiny, sleek homes, wet skin glistening out of the shower, these shine through the indie grain.
