After all the gigs that Leonardo DiCaprio has done, I have to admit that I was surprised to hear that it took him until 2012 (the film's release) to show up in an animated movie.

DreamWorks Animation has hired Leonardo DiCaprio to voice Jack Frost in The Guardians. The animated movie will reimagine five popular childhood heroes -- Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost -- as members of an elite superhero squad who join forces to fight an evil spirit named Pitch. So far DiCaprio is the first to be cast.
The studio does have some time to find the rest of their voice cast, as The Guardians is currently set for releasing on November 2... 2012.
