Night at the Museum 2: Battle at the Smithsonian
Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian is a very shiny movie. There’s lots of light highlighting all the characters from throughout time. The Blu Ray highlights all the shiny armor, costumes and gold.
On Blu-Ray: Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian
The Blu Ray is so sharp you can see the points of grain. It’s not grainy like a rough transfer, just saturated. It’s heightened clarity, not realistic but a totally stylized HD look. You see the details in all the added stuff like the squid, the Egyptian temple they build. The actual museum is kind of plain looking.
Some of the particularly detailed effects are that you can see the texture of the canvases in the art gallery gag. Wow, that’s the good stuff. The black and white scene looks perfect with sharp contrast. You see all the texture in the animated Lincoln monument when he comes to life.
