Now here's a genre that Hollywood has yet to exploit - Vikings! And it looks like the genre is off to a good start, with Mel Gibson looking to get behind the camera while Leonardo DiCaprio stands in front.
Leonardo DiCaprio to Star, Mel Gibson to Direct Viking Pic
William Monahan is currently writing the script for the untitled Viking pic. Graham King will produce with Gibson, and the two will do like they always do by waiting on a distributor until the film's completion.
DiCaprio, who has long been fascinated by Viking culture, will play one in a storyline that currently has no details. Well, at least none that Gibson, Monahan and DiCaprio are willing to share. Production will begin on the film fall 2010.
