Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson has been keeping busy. Showing up both in front and behind the camera, Gibson has decided to get in front of the camera for the action drama How I Spent My Summer Vacation.
Mel Gibson for How I Spent My Summer Vacation
Penned by Gibson, How I Spent My Summer Vacation will reassemble the key members of the same team who gave us Apocalypto; which was awesome. The film centers on a career criminal who gets caught by Mexican authorities and is sent to a drug- and crime-filled prison, where he learns how to survive with the help of a 9-year-old boy.
Summer Vacation is the third script written by Gibson, but the first that he won't direct. Just in case your memory's a bit fuzzy, his other two screenplays lead to Apocalypto and The Passion of the Christ. Taking up the role of director will be Adrian Grunberg. If your recognize the name, that's because he was also the first assistant director on Apocalypto.
Gibson has a few projects already coming our way including Edge of Darkness, The Beaver, and an untitled Viking pic that will star Leonardo DiCaprio.
