Just when we thought Avatar was the only film making history over the past week, we're now told that The Blind Side has snuck past the $200 million mark, making it the first pic with a solo female star to do so.

The Blind Side Does Well for Bullock

The Blind Side finished its seventh week fo release with $208.5 million. Showing plenty of legs, the film actually was up 10% from the weekend before. Though Bullock has had a great year, save for All About Steve, the feat is still pretty remarkable considering that names like Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie or Reese Witherspoon have been unable to do it.

As a bit of icing on the cake for Bullock, she also had another hit in 2009 with the help of Ryan Reynolds. The Proposal, a romantic comedy that drew an array of moviegoers, was able to take in $164 million domestically.
