Though Ron Howard has always excelled at powerful dramas -- and Willow! -- it looks like the director will be switching things up with some comedy. He's off to a good start, as he's got Vince Vaughn on board to star.
Vince Vaughn and Ron Howard for Cheating Comedy
Universal Pictures has picked up Vince Vaughn, who they adore, and Ron Howard for an untitled comedy by Allan Loeb. All about cheating, the film is an exploration of the comedic fallout surrounding infidelity between lovers and friends. While this could be funny, I can't help but think of the humor behind The Break-Up; a film that I found more uncomfortable than funny.
The comedy will be the first project between Vaughn and Howard. Production is set to begin this spring in Chicago.
