Since Bob and Peter Farrelly have been forced to sit on their hands for The Three Stooges adaptation thanks to some turmoil over at MGM, the brothers are now free to working on another one of their scripts. Teaming with New Line Cinema, the duo are looking to give Owen Wilson a Hall Pass.
Owen Wilson for Hall Pass
The Farrellys have been working on the script for Hall Pass over the past several years and have finally gotten around to taking the time to get it into production. In the R-rated comedy, Wilson will play one of two married guys who get a week of liberty from the obligations of marriage. They try to parlay this “hall pass” into a week of decadence, but find it difficult to suddenly roam their hometown as bachelors. Things get complicated when their mates, who don’t want to wait around and watch the debauchery, go on vacation together, armed with the same “hall pass.”
The Farrellys want Jason Sudeikis to play the pal, but that is contingent on his being cleared from his "Saturday Night Live" schedule.
Hall Pass is expected to begin production at the end of February in Georgia, though the story's setting is New England.
