National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Just in time for the holidays, I finally got my special edition set of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation on Blu Ray. It looks like the film I remember. You see some grain, but it’s small grain. The images are crisp and sharp, but not to the degree that you’d see any unsightly details to warp your memories.

The film is populated with mostly realistic colors, but pure white snow creates some gorgeous suburban vistas. Christmas lights shine out and the ridiculous holiday sweaters and scene trappings pop. Eddies trailer is nice and grungy.
The giant tin that houses the Blu Ray comes with some fun toys too, like snow powder and Santa hat, but no collector would ever take that stuff out of the package.
