If one thing is for certain, Thor is looking to have the most unique cast to date for a comicbook adaptation. Marvel Studios is hoping to now convince actress Adriana Barraza to join the cast.
Adriana Barraza in Talks for Thor
Directed by Kenneth Branagh, Thor centers on Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the god of thunder, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions re-ignite an ancient war. As punishment, he is cast down to Earth and forced to live among the humans. Once there, he learns what it takes to be a hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends dark forces of Asgard to invade.
If she signs on, Adreana will join a cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba and Kat Dennings. Little is known about her offered role, but she will play a human.
