Chris Rock
I got to get this off my chest. I absolutely hated Chris Rock's most recent stand-up performance. He got way too political, and it didn't even look like he cared to be funny. Maybe he knows it, as he's decided that a better career choice would be to option the remake rights to the French film The First Star.
Chris Rock Remaking The First Star
Chris Rock isn't just going for producer credits either, as the comedian slash actor has taken it upon himself to write the remake's screenplay. The original follows a black family who leave their working-class hood to take to the ski slopes. That's considered a social faux pas in the stuffy resort. The film was directed by Lucien Jean-Baptiste, who also starred.
Chris Rock has been getting attention of recent for his documentary Good Hair, which scored a WGA nomination this Monday. He can next be seen in another remake, Death at a Funeral.
