Terminator Salvation
Terminator has a buyer. Well, at least an offer. With the auction beginning, Lionsgate has stepped up as the leading bidder with $15 million and a 5% cut of future gross receipts.
Lionsgate Highest Bidder for Terminator
Bid was disclosed Wednesday in a federal bankruptcy court filing by Halcyon Group, who, if you remember, put the Terminator franchise up for sale last September.
Lionsgate may be the top bid, but that doesn't mean the franchise is theirs just yet. Not hardly, as the other studios now have until February 4th to decide if the property is worth bidding another half a million for.
I for one am rooting for Lionsgate, as I believe they are the only studio left with the balls to bring this franchise back to rated R.
