Though I've heard the (repeat) complaints that Lionsgate is marketing Kick-Ass incorrectly -- giving moviegoers the wrong idea of what to expect -- I can't help but love the whole paint-splash effect that they used on the first trailer and now in the latest poster.
Kick-Ass Poster
The good people at HitFix have premiered the latest and possibly final poster for Kick-Ass, which features a wet-paint effect. While I do agree that Lionsgate seems to be representing a different film in their marketing campaigns, I'm more disappointed with the fact that they've made Mark Strong practically unknown. Oh wait, his name is at least listed on the poster, but we have so far only seen him once -- and it was quick -- out of all the media updates released for this. What gives? People don't yet recognize the great Mark Strong?
Kick-Ass
Kick-Ass opens to theaters on April 16, 2010.
