Going to be vacationing out in Hawaii this summer? Then you might have a shot at catching some pirate ships and none other than Jack Sparrow! That's right, Disney has confirmed that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will begin filming this summer on both Oahu and Kauai.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Stranger Tides is the latest of three big-budget films being shot in the islands this year. The film alone should generate some $85 million in spending for Hawaii. Though there was a time when people actually questioned whether Johnny Depp would be coming back after a power switch at Disney, the actor has confirmed his return. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opens to theaters summer 2011.
