Spider-Man 3
Will the Spider-Man reboot have a couple musical numbers? It could! With Marc Webb now officially at the helm, anything is possible.
Spider-Man Director Found
Webb was one of the first name considered for the reboot after the plug was pulled on Spider-Man 4, causing both Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire to bounce out. While fans immediately began to wonder who the next Spidy would be, Columbia Pictures confirmed that they were more concerned with director over leading star. Now that they have Marc Webb, however, expect them to begin hunting for a suitable lead immediately. The new Spider-Man, written by James Vanderbilt, will begin lensing later this year.
Webb, who you might remember for directing the hit (500) Days of Summer, made sure to remind fans that he isn't attempting to take over for Raimi, but rather start something new.
"That would be impossible, not to mention arrogant," he said. "I'm here because there's an opportunity for ideas, stories and histories that will add a new dimension, canvas and creative voice to Spider-Man."
