We've seen quite a few action comedies come to fruition of late. Not that I'm complaining, but that's the new trend. The latest installment comes from Mandate Pictures. Who to star? Danny McBride?
Danny McBride for L.A.P.I.
Mandate Pictures has picked up Danny McBride to star in L.A.P.I. Directed by Jody Hill off a pitch by Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan, the film will have McBride play a beaten-down, hardboiled P.I.
If you have never heard of Jody Hill, this is the same director who helmed Observe and Report. Hill currently co-writes the HBO series East Bound and Down with McBride; something they also co-created.
