Sam Worthington
Sam Worthington is on a bit of a hot streak in terms of landing new gigs -- especially big ones -- and nobody can blame the studios thanks to the constant box office success of Worthington's last theater visit, Avatar. He is switching things up a bit, however, as his new project is a murder mystery.
Sam Worthington for Texas Killing Fields
Sam Worthington has been cast for Texas Killing Fields, which will be produced by Michael Mann.
Directed by Mann's daughter, Ami Canaan Mann, off a script by Donald F. Ferrarone, Texas Killing Fields follows the true story of a pair of police officers who undertook to solve two decades of disappearances and homicides -- totaling as many as 60 victims -- in the industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries. Worthington will portray a local homicide detective who works with a New York transplant to wage a war against the unknown but fierce killers.
Worthington can next be seen in Clash of the Titans; which is currently undergoing the 3D treatment.
