Warner Bros. is out there fishing talent. Not with good scripts, but rather with first look production deals. Yesterday we pointed out that both Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were in talks over production deals with the studio, and now Robert Downey, Jr. is. For you teenieboppers, I might as well mention -- as a side note -- that Zac Efron has recently signed a similar deal with Warner. That's a lot of producers.
Robert Downey Jr. Talking Up First-Look Deal With Warner Bros
Like Damon and Affleck, Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan Downey are in talks over the first-look production deal. She's not just a tagalong either, as Susan is a veteran production exec with Silver Pictures with recent credits on White Out, Orphan and Rocknrolla.
Robert Downey Jr. makes a good fit with Warner Bros, since a good portion of his films typically see the Warner banner including Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which served as his comeback film.
