Shrek Forever After
It looks like the Tribeca Film Festival has a different idea on how to approach the "Green" Movement. Instead of slowing carbon gases, the festival has announced that Shrek Forever After will kick things off.
Shrek Forever After Starts Tribeca
DreamWorks Animation has confirmed that Shrek Forever After will premiere on April 21st during the opening night of the Tribeca Film Festival. The film is the second animated 3D film to open a major fest. Last year, Pixar's Up was the opening-night film at Cannes.
"We have always sought to open our festival with films that are captivating and strike an emotional chord with moviegoers. 'Shrek Forever After' combines the very best storytelling and artistry, while showcasing the wonders of 3D filmmaking," Tribeca fest co-founder Jane Rosenthal said.
If you can't make Tribeca, then you will have to wait for Shrek Forever After to hit theaters nationwide on May 21st like the rest of us.
Shrek Forever After opens to theaters on May 21st.
