Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Anakin Skywalker

It looks like Lucasfilm has grown jealous of the success Robot Chicken and Family Guy have had doing animated parodies of Star Wars. Grabbing the reins, the studio has announced that they are working on a comedic animated Star Wars series.

Star Wars Comedy Series

Lucasfilm has hired Jennifer Hill to produce and Todd Grimes to direct. Brendan Hay has been given the responsibility of putting together a script, and is expected to have help from Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, the creators of Robot Chicken.

A start date has yet to be announced.
