Did You Hear About the Morgans
Columbia Pictures’ latest comedy new release is another example of how plain old movies look fantastic on Blu Ray. You wouldn’t think of Did You Hear About the Morgans as a visual masterpiece, but Blu Ray clarity makes it look stunning. I’m sure it helps that Sony invented Blu Ray.
Did You Hear About the Morgans on Blu-Ray
There are gorgeous shots of New York City, day and night, from above, sweeping around, or at street level. The countryside looks clear and pretty too. It’s so bright you’d think there was daylight in your house even if you watched the Blu Ray at midnight. You wouldn’t see any film grain so it’s like a portal looking into their travelogue.
Everyone looks good in the film too. Sarah Jessica Parker has a golden glow that would belong in Sex and the City. I’ve always thought she was pretty, for the record, but it’s worth noting that whatever makeup and lighting their using holds up in HD without flaws. Hugh Grant remains dreamy.
