Zac Efron
What do you know - Warner Bros. is doing another remake. The studio has been picking up foreign or old films with its eyes set to remake the lot of them. The latest grab is the Swedish thriller Snabba Cash, for which the studio has picked Zac Efron to star in.
Zac Efron for Snabba Cash
Zac Efron's involvement is not that much of a surprise, since he tied the knot with Warner Bros earlier this year by setting up his own banner on the studio lot. In Snabba Cash, which means easy money in English, Efron will portray a financial wizard who hopes to strike it rich quickly by creating money laundering schemes for a drug syndicate.
The Swedish film was based on the 2006 Jens Lapidus novel of three interlocking stories about set in Stockholm about friends who become involved with drugs and organized crime. Swedish pic was directed by Daniel Espinosa with Joel Kinnaman portraying the lead as a taxi driver and cocaine runner.
