Every hero needs his/her muse. In the case of Marvel Studios' The First Avenger: Captain America, that piece of eye candy will be Hayley Atwell.
Hayley Atwell Joins Captain America
Just in case you've been out of the loop, Chris Evans will play the film's title character. The First Avenger will focus on the early days of Steve Rogers as a volunteer in an experimental program that turns him into the super soldier known as Captain America.
Atwell will play Peggy Carter, who in Marvel's comicbooks is an American spy handy with a gun. She falls in love with Captain America as the two fight together against the Nazis during World War II. She was in contention for the part with Keira Knightley.
