While I'm still not a fan of remakes, I do respect any film that has Helen Mirren in it. She has been cast for Arthur, which is currently starring Russell Brand in the title role.
Helen Mirren for Arthur
Mirren has been cast to play Arthur's longtime nanny in a reimagining of the John Gielgud part in the 1981 comedy, in which he played Arthur's butler. In the original, Dudley Moore's Arthur turned to Gielgud's Hobson for advice after his family threatens to cut off his inheritance unless he marries a woman he doesn't love. Gielgud won the supporting actor Oscar for his work.
Jason Winer will direct the film off a script by Peter Baynham, who had Brand in mind while writing the remake.
