How to Train Your Dragon
How to Train Your Dragon may have opened to theaters slightly below expectations held by DreamWorks Animation (and its shareholders), the film continues to show some serious legs. Now a box office success -- as it damn well should be -- the studio has decided to give the greenlight to a sequel.
Sequel Alert: How to Train Your Dragon
How to Train Your Dragon will have a sequel in theaters by the second half of 2013, says DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg. To further take advantage of the now-booming franchise, there is also a live arena show in the works. Want more? Well, then you'd be happy to know that an online community (think WOW) and a TV show are being developed around the film.
"It's not where you start, it's where you finish," Katzenberg told analysts about "Dragon" during a conference call to discuss quarterly earnings, which turned out being up slightly over Wall Street expectations.
