I am a huge fan of Guy Ritchie, making me an immediate fan of Sherlock Holmes. While there are many out there who didn't understand it, thanks both to Ritchie's style and the near-impossible to hear accents, Warner Bros has enough cause to take another shot at the franchise. Coming just in time to catch the 2011 window.
Sherlock Holmes Sequel 2011
Warner Bros has released quite a bit of info regarding their upcoming slate, with news that Sherlock Holmes 2 will be arriving mid-December 2011. Not too much of a surprise, since the first installment did just fine in a pervious December window.
The film will be one of the studio's estimated 25 to come out during the year including:
Red Riding Hood: April 22, 2011 The Hangover 2: May 26 Green Lantern (3D): June 17 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (3D): July 15 Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 (3D): Sept. 23 Happy Feet 2 (3D): Nov. 18 -- New Year's Eve: Dec. 9
You might have noticed Potter on the lineup, with the film likely being Warner Bros. biggest release of 2011. The studio has been cashing in on their most successful franchise, which will be the most successful franchise ever once the final installment closes out.
